Rob Flora for Dona Ana County Commissioner District 5
Dona Ana County is not just a place in the desert; it is our community. It is our home. It’s home to people and families of all races and backgrounds and we all have always come together to work and play and support each other, especially when times are tough.
Even before the pandemic, it has been tough times for everyday folks to find steady employment or a good education. Our county has so much to offer to the world, from the fruits of our farmland to the art and culture we create. But because of poor leadership and failed policies, the bright future we promised our children and grandchildren is becoming more uncertain everyday.
We all want a safe place to live and raise children, while we also want to thrive and have opportunities to build a career and give back to the community. Unfortunately, bureaucratic red-tape, a lack of transparency in county government, and has elected officials who find excuses for not providing necessary health access instead of looking for the right solutions. I am running for Commissioner because I can be that leader and I will work with everyone from all sides to do right by the people.
In addition to rebuilding the economy and keeping residents as safe as possible, whether that be coordinating effectively with agencies and partners to making sure law enforcement and emergency responders have the proper training and resources, we must take very seriously our water supply and flood prevention infrastructure — critical issues that have been overlooked for far too long.
Fortunately, the good people of Dona Ana County don’t give up easily. And we will not give up on each other. We have been through too much to stop now and we will continue working toward that brighter future and keep our promise to future generations. My name is Rob Flora and I am asking you for your vote and your help to get elected so we can start turning things around here in Dona Ana County District 5!
